Pensioners Busted in Drugs Raid

Avon and Somerset Police strike again breaking the door down to a retired couple's house looking for drugs.

The first Ivor and Margaret knew about the raid was then they flew home from a holiday in Madeira to find their front door had been smashed in.

It had been bolted shut by a padlock and the couple found paperwork from the police detailing what had happened.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset confirmed the raid had taken place and they had apologised but said the force could not comment further because the couple's complaint was being investigated.

The over excitable Avon & Somerset Police watch far too much 'Starsky & Hutch' and perhaps should have made a slightly more proportionate enquiry before kicking the door in.
